Together we have put together a format that can be enjoyed by players of all standards and provide a final that will inspire everybody who takes part to raise their games giving them the best possible chance to book their place at the UK Semi Final and of course a seat on that plane to Cyprus for the Grand Final.”

Costas Catsellis, Sales & Marketing Manager, Cyprus Tourism Organisation commented "We are delighted to be the headline sponsor of “The Gtour – Race to Cyprus” for the second year. ?This tournament has become the premier amateur event of the UK and we would like to thank Colin Astbury and his team for organizing an amateur event in the most professional way?

Costas Added, "Our aim is to establish Cyprus as a major golf destination and we believe that our association with The Gtour - Race to Cyprus will help us achieve this goal."??

The experience the golfers receive starts from when they arrive at the course making it the ultimate event to play, with individual event prizes provided by the tour sponsors Bunker Mentality and De Vere Venues.?

Gtour player Gary Bickerstaff has enjoyed his 2 years on tour " I first joined Gtour in 2010 having only played golf for one year. It was the opportunity to play some fantastic courses in a competitive format with an Order of Merit and hopefully help me improve my golf handcap. The Gtour Team show professionalism at its highest , and the tour members have a great team spirit in the height of competition. My handicap has dropped to below 13 at times during the last year on the tour and I know with a final at Aphrodite Hills Golf Resort in Cyprus to aim for, I will need to continue improving to give myself a chance. The sheer professional format to this competition with the courses played and the sponsors involved means I would recommend it to any golfer looking to improve their golf." ?

The tour starts in April 2012 at De Vere Carden Park on Saturday 21st. For more information visit the the Gtour website at www.gtour.co.uk.
