I guess a number of you shall be looking for the Weather Forecast for the 2012 OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP at Lytham & St Anne's.
I'm afraid to say it's going to be a bit of a mixed bag according to the latest Met Office weather forecasts.
Thursday
The morning starters are scheduled to get the worst of the day with light rain up until 1300 hours. It is then forecast to brighten up slightly and there is no predictions for wind gusts. The wind should be blowing west or north-west at about 8-11 mph. Visibility is good - very good. The temperature shall range between 11- 14 degrees C.
Friday
Cloudy with sunny intervals is forecast for day 2. The wind should be blowing west or north-west at about 8-12 mph. Visibility is good - very good. The temperature shall range between 12-13 degrees C.
Saturday
Cloudy with sunny intervals is forecast for round 3. The wind should be blowing west or north-west at about 7-10 mph. Visibility is good - very good. The temperature shall range between 12 -15 degrees C.
Sunday
Lytham shall show its teeth on Sunday and there is a strong chance an early starter might be able to really surge through the field by going low before the weather greatly deteriorates.
There are no gusts expected for the morning but gusts shall blow at 33 - 35 mph in the afternoon, with the wind blowing normally south-west at 21 - 22 mph. This is a completely different wind direction and this is really going to test the afternoon starters.
Visibility is good - very good. The temperature shall range between 12 -14 degrees C.
